The area is moderately mountainous. Roads are developed in some areas including the MSR from Checkpoint KAMJHEDE where others are dirt roads that connect town to town. SITUATION 6 Troop, E-Sqn will deploy from Camp JUUHYA into Syria in order to attain a foothold for recce patrols seeking out IS forces in the region. FRIENDLY FORCES 6 Troop, E-Squadron 22 SAS Iraqi Armed Forces : 36th Commando Bn. (Station : Camp Kamjhede) FIRE SUPPORT PLAN SHELLDRAKE call signs on standby at location JUUHYA (ARTY) HAVOC call signs on standby at location JUUHYA (CAS) ATTACHMENTS/DETACHMENTS N/A PROBABLE MISSION 6 Troop is tasked with finding and eliminating two (2) key AAA installations within a 15km radius of Checkpoint KHAMJEDE in order to allow ease of movement for Iraqi/Friendly troops within the AO and ease the provision of resupplies outside of low light environments (05:00 - 00:00) From here tasking will procede to the deployment of a stationary FOB within the AO at an appropriate location which in turn will act as a resupply depot/CCP for medevac to Camp JUUHYA.   3. +++++++++++++++++++++ BEGINS +++++++++++++++++++++ To : 6 Troop, E-Squadron, 22 Special Air Service Regiment From : OC E-Squadron, 22SAS Subject : Operation PLACER DTG : 0144Z21DEC19 Classification : MOD Classified (Situation) During the early hours of the morning of the 21/12/19 a South Korean owned Hanjin (Handymax) Shipping Vessel was boarded and consequently overran by Lebanese operatives in coalition with Hezbollah off the coast of Lemnos (Cyprus.) The vast majority of the manifest was due to arrive in Europe containing various military supplies and equipment manufactured in Seoul; primarily armoured vehicles. However, included in the manifest are 2 containers which include objects of a classified nature, objects which hold a heightened level of importance to the UK Ministry of Defence. 6 Troop, E-Squadron, 22SAS are being deployed from HMS Glory (currently positioned 1km from the coast of Lemnos) in order to neutralise the threat posed to British military intelligence should terrorist organisations involved acquire the contents contained on the lower deck of the vessel. (Area of Operations) 12km AO off the coast of LEMNOS. Primarily, HMS Glory (Frigate Class) / Hanjin F38227 Handymax Shipping Vessel (Hostile Forces) Militia Forces associated with Lebanese offset groups of Hezbollah.
